Still here

Greetings from the hospital, Day 3. I was so sick yesterday, I could not even blog. And that must mean I am really sick, huh? A fever of 102 and the inability to keep any food in me has necessitated a longer stay.

I am feeling a little better today and have not had a fever since early this morning. The good news is I don't have a parasite! And I know you are all dying to know how they know that. Oh yes, there was a stool sample tested. My modesty knows no bounds anymore. Poooping in a pan and having another person scoop it into a little cup was about the last thing I thought I would be writing about, but here we are. That, my friends, is why I could never be a nurse.

They think it's a nasty little virus I picked up, so nothing to fear. There was talk of a possible amnio, if they could not figure out what was causing my fever, but that seems to be a slim possibilty. Anytime you have a cerclage, a fever is a little worrisome because it could be showing a uterine infection. But they think that is not the case with me.
