I only look like I am awake

I think I need a vacation after all this holiday travel.

What's that you say? I am going on vacation after all this holiday travel? Ahh yes. Wednesday. Puerto Rico. Where I shall lie by the pool and relax. Scratch that. Where I shall play in the pool with the child. It will be a different kind of relaxing, I suppose.

We've now slept in three different beds in three different nights. Jack has spent lots of time with lots of family and was all out of routine but did pretty well.

This afternoon his lack of quality sleep and short naps caught up with him and he fussed his way into a third nap. I think he was exhausted.

There were people and cats and dogs, oh my, the dogs. When he sees dogs now, he screeches and gets more excited than when I walk in the room. He spent the last two days chasing two dogs around and the dogs were definitely pleased to see him leave.

Like the dogs, I am exhausted. We went out last night and Mommy isn't used to staying out late. Late now being defined as 11:45 p.m. I was home in the house by midnight and I still feel like I was a run over by a truck today.

I think I shall go lie down now.
