Poop Watch 2006
So Poop Watch 2006 continues in our house.
The poop? There is no sign of it. It has left us and gone away. Poor Jack. He just gets all red in the face and grunts and then nothing. Some smelly gas has made it's way out occasionally, but that's about it.
I think I am moving on from the rice cereal. He doesn't like it and it's been seven days. They say you have to wait five days before introducing something new, so maybe we will move on.
Or maybe, he's just not ready. The AAP says you should exclusively breastfeed for the first six months, and it even says that on my pediatrician's website. This is the same pediatrician who told me we could start solids and even wrote down what we should do.
Clearly, this advice is all as inconsistent as my son's bowels.
So if anyone needs anything, we'll just be being over here being constipated.

Our babies are the same age. I also have a 2 year old. She had the same problem so I switched her to oatmeal by Gerber. It solved the problem. You can also try a little apple juice or a warm bath. That always worked in our house.I heard also prunes,(babyfood).

poor Jack! It's got to be a tough transition to go from mama's milk to gooey cereal. I hope he's feeling better and "regular" again soon!
I've got a grunting, red-faced little man, too, but as of yet, we've not had one poop-free diaper--ever.
I don't know what I'll do the first day I open that little package up and find it sans poop. Not sure if it will be a celebration or a panic attack!
give him some diluted prune juice and all your problems with be solved! like a 1 to 1 ratio. definitely stop the rice. bring on the fruits! i think it constipates every baby. horrible!
OH poor little guy. I hope he gets to ppoping again soon!
